Teaching Struggling Readers MOOC
This course was a collaboration between World Learning and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and was funded by the Project Impact Enhancement Fund 2018-19.
DESCRIPTION
This MOOC was designed primarily for teachers and caregivers who want to learn the basics of how children learn to read in different writing systems around the world and how best to teach struggling readers. Information provided in this course was based on research in psycholinguistics and education.
MY ROLE
Because there is a lot of input in this course, we decided to create at least one lightly animated video per module for the longer texts so that participants could choose to listen to/watch or read these tasks (UDL). Additionally, I created a promo video and provided social media graphics.
